today was a great eye opener.. i attended the wealth management conference at the supreme court. i never knew wealth could be so complicated. that people have to have trusts and everything. i learnt all about the singapore tax/financial system. i feel smart, you know. haha. like i know that maldives has both a common and civil law system. HA. bet you didn't know that. and the notes are really cool. they gave us a WHOLE FOOLSCAP PAD with the words singapore supreme court or something like that on it. i mean, who would have so much time during the conference to write so much stuff?? haha. but its really cool. and i got a free pen too! oh oh, and the food was super awesome. we had chocolate cake and cheesecake for dessert-- mmmm. makes my mouth water just thinking about it. i feel extremely clever now. hahaa. okay actually i didn't understand about 60% of the whole thing, but who cares!! haha.



oh, i met two new people today. one was this woman from a bank, she just sat down beside me so we started to talk to her and found out she was from scgs too! but we didn't get her namecard. i think she just didn't want to give it to me. the other person was this jc1 internship student from hwa chong. she made me realise something. that if i ever go to hwa chong, i wouldn't fit in cos my chinese just sucks. haha. it was really scary you know, to see someone who is so fluent in chinese but not in english. i got a culture shock. haha. i feel like posting pictures now. this is a pic of the supreme court auditorium!! cool huh! its big and super cold. like freezing. my teeth were actually chattering!!
